91 teg abs delete questions

Hey guys doing a abs delete on my 91 teg and everybody talks about buying a 40/40 valve from another teg, can I just use one from a newer civic? they look diff but, I assume if the number are the same no biggie anybody know?

Why would you get rid of ABS ? Is it damaged/not functioning ?
