Default 2000 Honda Civic Si ECT

So I have a em1 with b16a. And it has a hard time starting/warming up. I’ve already changed the ECT and that only seems to be the issue and still get the code for it . I think that maybe the sensor is not getting any power whatsoever or ecu is just no good 👎🏾. I checked the wires already but at the end of the pigtail socket very little wire is exposed could that cause it to not work? Very weird

If you get a code for the ECT within a few seconds of key on/start up... the ECU has detected the lack of proper resistance in the circuit, so take a good long look at the wiring at the ECT plug and work back toward the ECU.

Yes, its most likely the old pig tail harness, it's very common. When it happened to me, I purchased this a soldered it in. I also used the same pig tail to replace the Vtec plug as well as the IACV as they share the same style plug.
