I got a hand down 2000 Honda Accord 2.3L coupe with leather seat. The driver side is power and the passenger side is manual. Both seat are ripped and cracked beyond repair. I tried using seat cover but it does not work well on leather seats, they keep slipping and looks ugly. My local junk yard has 50% off seats this week and I want to replace both seats with MANUAL clothe seats.

My question is, are there any difference between the sedan and coupe model? How about power and manual seats? Are they interchangeable? How about the 3.0L accord vs the 2.3L? I've never remove a seat before what kind of wires should I look out for? Are there airbags in the seats? The junk yard has many accords in this generation but a lot of the seats are pretty messed up. Just wondering if all seats from the same generations are interchangeable. Thanks.

 

Yes they will all interchange physically. The bolt pattern on the seat rails will be the same. The sedan seats will likely have less aggressive bolstering than the coupe seats.

 

How about the cables and the side airbag? Some car has side airbag while some don't. I've never messed with airbags before just hear that they can blow on you or something if you cut the wrong wire.
