99 Civic LX Header to Exhaust Gasket HELP (Solved)
I'm completely lost about this new gasket I received in my header kit. Is it to small? Just right? Which way do I install it?
It seems like a completely improper fit (just rides on the flange and doesn't slot in), and restricts the exhaust
Do I even need it??? The old one had no gasket like it. I'd like to get this figured out pronto because this has been driving me insane

Reason: Issue solved
This metal o-ring ring here that I've done a terrible job of trying to point out is the original gasket. When new it looked mostly like the gold one you have, but obviously the right size. You can go to the dealer and get a new one (18212-SF4-000), but it looks like the flat gasket on your new manifold is designed to go right over it.

Ahhh I see now. I think I'll try my hand at getting a new one, if I can't get away with reusing the old one.
The flat gasket is basically the same size as the old one, too.
