Prelude 5th Gen Jerks when Idle/stopped at the lights
Hi everyone,
First-time car and Prelude 5th Gen Owner (BB8) with H22A VTEC and 4WS Steering. I was taking the car to test the vehicle's condition before getting it inspected for the title. I pushed it to see if the VTEC engages or not as I bought it from the auction a month ago and did the normal maintenance.
Went up to 1000km/hr at 6.5 rpm and the VTEC kicked in. As soon as the VTEC, the 4WD check lamp turned and the speedometer/gauge started acting up, and now it's not working. A few couples of blocks later the D4 light started flashing and jerked 3 times during a 40-minute drive.
I've gone through the different forums and I think the 4WS and speedometer gauge is related to the speed sensor or VSS. However, I'm concerned that the Tranny might be dying now or maybe the torque converter is not able to gauge properly due to the VSS going bust. Would like some insight and tips to get the vehicle back to top condition.
Thank you!
