3rd Gen Honda CR-V 4WD System in Need for High HP Upgrades! (Axles & Wheel bearings)
Hi everyone,
I have a 2009 Honda CR-V RT-4WD (USDM) 5-speed automatic that I'm planning to turn into a big turbo sleeper. I will be planning to use only the stock rear differential that already came with the car with some mods that I'm sure most of you guys know about. Everything else will be changed (driveshaft, transmission, etc.) but all I need left is info on the cv axles and maybe wheel bearings and hubs. To be honest I can probably find all of this info somewhere online but I tried for an hour and am too lazy :d.
First of all, I need to find out about the hp rating of the 3rd gen CR-V rear cv axles to see if I need aftermarket ones (I probably do). I need them to at least hold 500whp.
I also need to find the outboard, inboard spindle size, spindle diameter and axle length for the 3rd gen CR-V driver and passenger, front and rear cv axles.
I also need to find the outboard, inboard spindle size, and spindle diameter for the 2nd gen CR-V 5-speed manual with transfer case driver and passenger, front cv axles. I will be using a 2nd gen Honda CR-V 5-speed and stock transfer case. I will just figure out what length I need as I know it's gonna be different.
The overall idea is...
Driver and Passenger Front Axles:
Inboard spindle size, diameter and length to match for 2nd gen CR-V transmission
Outboard spindle size, diameter and length to match for 3rd gen CR-V wheel hubs (if using stock wheel hubs and bearings)
Driver and Passenger Rear Axles :
Inboard spindle size, diameter and length for 3rd gen CR-V differential
Outboard spindle size, diameter and length for 3rd gen CR-V wheel hubs (if using stock wheel hubs and bearings)
And then go from there and make custom axles.
Also do you need to upgrade the wheel bearings and hubs? Nobody talks about that at all so I was wondering if stock is okay for now? My goal is 550-600whp. If there is something that I am missing please let me know!

Thanks. But do you think those same front axles on AutoZone for the 2nd gen will fit with the 5-speed manual? I'm not too sure it's not specific but it probably interchanges with both manual and auto. Was thinking about something more specific like an official blueprint but thanks again. It will probably work.
