Hello I have a 1998 honda prelude base model Manual Transmission. I bought the car with only one key black, I know it should come with 3, red Grey, black. Started fine no issues till 7 months later. I had to move the steering wheel console up and down to get the key to catch the signal. I had new keys made and worked for couple of months and didn't read the key at all. Also the ignition when you put the ķey in it was hard to turn into 1 and 2 position.
I sold car got it back by chance lol. And they installed a kill switch, installed a new key ignition. But my driver door is different key.
I'm missing the sensor on the ignition which reads the key
Driver door is original key from factory I believe, so my ignition and door are different, set the default or put back the original functionality for my original system and activated my kill sequence. I no longer have the factory fob/alarm remote.
My question is what should I do? Take it to honda to reprogram my whole car so it will all read the same. Original ecu, immobilizer, I have the original key I had from when I bought car. Only thing is different is ignition and key. I have a 99 ecu with its immobilizer, and a new ignition and ignition wire harness and 2 new keys for parts.. Just want to know if I can fix it all with original equipment in the car now?? Please advise thank you...
