Is my head done for?
It is an interference engine (as you know), so there's a good chance the valves got bent, but it doesn't always happen. Sometimes you'll get lucky, especially if the engine was spinning at a lower RPM when the belt broke.
These are interference engines, but it is very hit or miss if they actually make contact. I snapped a belt at 6K+ rpm and literally tossed a belt in it and went back to driving it. My buddy had a belt break at idle and bent valves.
Did the belt actually break or just jump timing? I absolutely do NOT recommend attempting to start it until you have verified it didn't make contact. Rent/buy a leak down tester and see what it does
