Hello and thanks for taking a look at my thread.

1.) I have a 99 Accord v6. I believe that means it has the Acura engine, is that correct?
2.) what should a tuneup cost roughly? What would be a total ripoff?
3.) should replacing the PCV be part of the tuneup?
4.) should i give the mechanic any special tasks?


5.) Also, while it happens seldomly I have noticed I will start the engine and it will cut out after a bit of shaking. My mechanic suggested I not let the fuel level get too low as that could be the cause. He said if its a sporadic issue he wouldn't bother looking for a problem at this time. Does anyone have any thoughts on this intermittent issue? I thought maybe it was the battery because it happened twice after leaving the car with the hazards on for 20 minutes. Other times it has happened I could not see a pattern. All in all it runs great though and I figure a tuneup is warranted for preventative maintenance.
