04 Civic EX 1.7L Sedan -- Catalytic converter stolen :(
Someone cut the cat out from under the vehicle a couple of nights ago
Located in Philly, Pa and I am trying to figure out what to do and having little luck.
My insurance deductible is 1000 so I am trying to part this all back together for much less than that.
From what I can tell, I need a new resonator pipe (flange was cut off) and I need a new cat.
Does anyone have any recommendations for these parts? I searched rockauto and the parts seem to range from very cheap to very expensive, has anyone had success with specific brands?
Man this sucks, I don't wish this on anyone. Car is basically undrivable now.

Google local exhaust shop. Ask for a quote for replacement of the catalytic converter. Find the cheapest place and just have them weld the new cat directly to the resonator pipe.
it seems the stock cat had a tube within a tube design, not sure how well a standard cat would weld up to this.. i called a few places in the area and they all wanted to put new parts in
You just tell them you need a replacement cat welded to what's left of your exhaust. They may need to add a foot or so of pipe but that's it.
thank you for the reply.
say I wanted to run just a straight pipe to connect whats left of the cat downpipe and the resonator? (until I need inspection middle of 2023)
would i need a 2.25 to 1.75 reducer? or is it a 2" to 1.75?

yeah... i hear ya, not much meat left on the horizontal part of the tube from where they cut, and not sure how i would use pipe clamps on this dual-tube design (I suppose this is for sound dampening & heat?)
