Braking issues!
So this is a kinda weird one. My car drove fine for a good while without any braking issues. I parked it for a day and started it again, and suddenly my brake pedal has no pressure at all with the engine running. Straight to the floor. It’ll stop itself but not at all like it used to. I also never noticed any differences in pedal play, it seemed really random.
Turn the car off again and pump the brakes, it builds up pressure again, so probably not the booster itself or vacuums.
After looking around, I noticed my brake fluid was super low and pretty dark brown, so I’m gonna flush it once everything’s said and done and my brakes can work, but i couldn’t find any leaks. The car is gutted and all the lines are right next to me so it’s fairly easy to see any liquid in there. Also nothing at all under the car or by any of the wheels.
I eventually realized it’s probably the check valve since the engine is now revving when I brake and pushing air into the manifold, so I pulled it off and it seems to be working, but backwards now? Theoretically, couldn’t i flip it around so it’ll work again? Or am I way better off just ordering one and slapping it in instead of making one work?
Im still a bit new to the Honda scene so if anyone has other ideas as well, please lmk. Not sure if needed but it is disc converted and it has a d15b7 from a 95
