2002 Civic LX with D17A Singing engine...
Ok... Need some mechanical help. My engine starts to "sing" at 2500rpm. The singing goes away just above that mark and returns at a slightly higher pitch at the 2900 mark. Below are 2 videos detailing the singing sound (you might need some headphones to hear it) Some background on this: I JUST (less than 600 miles on the clock) put a new head on this engine after a broken timing belt. I replaced the timing belt tensioner (I used a Gates Powergrip kit that came with a GMB tensioner... NOT my favorite brand of tensioner) I did NOT replace the ASIN water pump as it wasn't even a year old when the timing belt broke. The head gasket was a Fel Pro.
I have isolated the issue to the engine area (e.g. it's not the transmission)
If you could shed some light on what you think it is I'd be very grateful for the help.
