Hey I've had this Del Sol for a while and I just recently had an issue pop up where if the volume is too high all the speakers will start this clacking, sound doesn't happen if the volume is low also has just recently developed into a audio cutout instead of just crackling. It's just really annoying when I'm trying to listen to my music and all the sudden it just stops for a second and then it's back. I've redone all the bad wiring issues I can see where else might there be more bad wires. If it's another issue please let me know, thank you.
The paint on the hood is like that because I am removing bubbles and other issues before a touch-up I do not plan on keeping this color though.
You're distorting the speakers. Either amplify the speakers or replace them for something better.
I know you already answered the question but I just find a weird how they were working completely fine I could have it as loud as I want and tune the audio as much as I wanted to and then one day it just decides that I can only turn up the volume so high makes me think it's a wiring issue I just don't know where the wire issue would be with that being an issue with the speaker wire or the power wire
Cuz it blew a fuse by happening the other day which makes me think it's pulling too much power
overcurrent amp draw is why the fuse blew. That headunit's internal amp wasn't designed to play at high volumes.
Ok that was another thought I had. That's not surprising as it's an old radio been through a few cars and repairs it also popped and smoked once 😂 but it worked fine after that so I didn't bother investigating. thank you
First, ensure that your speakers are not blown. If they are new, you can try resetting them by hooking up another speaker and waiting five seconds. If the other speaker works then, you know the first speaker is blown and you need a replacement. For the second speaker, there could be a problem with the amp or the speaker wires. The amp, if available, should be replaced with a new one. If that doesn't work, try tracing the wires back to the speakers, and check that all the connections are in place. Once the connections are all solid, and the problem is in the amp or speaker, the speaker should be replaced. If you need more information about del sol visit here.
