EG civic build plan (looking for tips/suggestions)
Hello H-T, Im planning on building my EG up to make it a more fun DD that handles like its on rails. If you have any suggestions, tips or advice id love to hear them. Before I name everything I plan on doing im going to talk about where I want this build to end up. Im not trying to make my car super fast in a straight line, I personally care more about going fast around turns. Im trying to make this car handle as good as it can while still having some "luxury"/things that will make the car more enjoyable like a subwoofer for example. I think I have everything listed that could possibly make the car handle better (besides AWD conversion). The total weight of the car with everything I list in it should be about 2250-2300lbs , around 2500-2600lbs with me and my girlfriend in it. So that should be a power to weight ratio of about 14.7 to 1 ~ 15.29 to 1, assuming I make 170 hp which I feel like I will with a rebuild b18c1 with bolt ons. So here we go:
HANDLING/SUSPENSION UPGRADES:
16x7, +38 offset, 73.1mm hub, 14.5 lb each, SP1 matte black rims

205/45-16 Continental DWS06+ tires (Compared to all other All-season tires and most summer tires these handle better around turns (more cornering g's) and have a quicker lap time, as tested by tire rack. plus theyre 16's not 15s so that helps with handling too a little more)

PLM 3 point front strut bar or cheaper 3 point strut bar ($70 vs $200)
https://privatelabelmfg.com/collecti...-for-eg-ek-dc2
https://www.maxpeedingrods.com/produ...-lowperformace
PLM X bar or Spec D rear strut bar (depends if subwoofer can fit under X bar or not)
https://privatelabelmfg.com/collecti...k9-dc2-eg6-dc5
https://sparktecmotorsports.com/i-30...t-bar.html?v=1
PLM Rigid collar kit
https://privatelabelmfg.com/collecti...ra-integra-dc2
Godspeed 24mm solid Chromoly rear sway bar kit with aluminum alloy subframe brace. Debating between this, Mugens 25.4mm hollow sway bar w subframe brake, or ASR 24mm hi-tensile sway bar w subframe brace. Gods speed is the cheapest at 250, mugens is 330$ but I feel like it wont be as effective as the 24mm soild bar, And the ASR one is 450$. What would you suggest?

ST front 25mm sway bar, I plan on B18c1 swapping the EG so i figured ill need a bigger sway bar for the extra weight. the 99-00 EK type R has a 26mm one for perspective and has the b16. Maybe ill stay stock, maybe try to find a 22mm one if its out there.

K Sport Kontrol Pro Coilovers, plan on lower it just half an inch, maybe a full one but the +38 rims are going to be very close to flush and dont want no fender rubbing.
https://ksportusa.com/product/honda-...nda-civic-1993
Also considering getting a Duraflex Widebody fenders and fender flares, I just dont know how much wider they will make my car and if its worth it. If you know how much wider it makes the car let me know please.
Also looking for more body/chassis strengthening/stiffening, open to suggestions. wanted an H bracket for a while but I hear lots of clearance gets lost
POWER UPGRADES:
B18c1 swap with LS tranny, going to get a used engine and have it rebuilt. May get ARP 'Head stud kit' and 'Main stud kit' just to keep the engine strong and reliable.
2.25 or 2.5" exhaust, with no CAT and 18"x8"x5" (or 18x9x4 for better clearance) Magna flow muffler (to keep noise down instead of 14"), with 8-16" resonator or "glass pack" with black 2.75"-3" exhaust tip.
2.5" header, dont know which one will be best, the napa one doesnt seem bad and is a lot cheaper, the cheaper PLM one has a smaller collector I believe and is shorter overall, id love suggestions

Cold air intake (dont know which one to get)
https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/p...hoCYSIQAvD_BwE
or https://eliteracefab.com/products/ae...xoCwr0QAvD_BwE
66mm Throttle body (looking for a throttle body spacer but cant find one), also may not get this because I hear the power gain isn't noticeable unless turboing or adding a lot more power.

Camshaft, only want a cam shaft if it wont change anything until vtec kicks in, then once it kicks in, more power/air would be nice. dont want to effect MPG until I hit vtec tho thats very important.
I expect about 10 hp total from bolt ons and hopefully 2-5 ft-tq, I was thinking 5-10hp from exhaust and header, and 1-3 from CAI, maybe a little more with a throttle body. Oh yea, also gonna get it polish and ported, or maybe just polished.
"LUXURY" & ODDS/ENDS
13.5" JLB Subwoofer in box, placed in trunk where spare tire would go.
https://www.jlaudio.com/collections/...bwoofers-92157 - woofer
https://www.lifeafterbass.com/laboe1ftsemd1.html - box
(will find amp shortly)
Leather steering wheel and shift ****, 3" shift **** extender also
Short shifter
https://www.kseriesparts.com/SK2-628...YaAqZwEALw_wcB
Tint (70 %or 50% front windows, 50-35% back windows, 35-25% rear tint)
Wind/rain visors
https://www.protuninglab.com/92hoci2dr3dr1.html
Interior leather trim set
https://www.rvinyl.com/Honda-Civic-1...Dash-Kits.html
Sound deadening (This stuff works amazing btw, used it in my 89 yota pickup difference was night and day. If you have a loud exhaust and dont want to hear as much noise or just want to make your car quieter to feel more luxurious Id definitely suggest getting this)
If anyone knows where to get parts to upgrade a 92-95 civic to make it more luxurious, or even where to get interior parts from a EX, LX or Si Id love to know.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to make my civic handle better or just any suggestions at all I'd love to hear them.
Thank you

seems like you are just catalog building.
this is what i used to do when i received my new issue of import tuner lol.
best advice i can give you, it focus on making it solid first.
replace worn bushing, take care of any steering slop. refresh brakes, then move on to aftermarket things.
take it for a spin, find out what you like and dislike.
for example: your driving mar may not benefit from bigger sway bars.

I hear what youre saying. the civic is a 92 VX with 118k miles on it, the steering doesnt have any play. Brakes are something I forgot to mention, I plan on upgrading the brakes to the SI size (12.5" in the front i believe, dont quote me), and get some drilled and or slotted ones. What worn out bushings would be good to replace? Everything looks fine and feels fine but I do want to upgrade my bushings, just trying to figure out which ones should be upgraded for better handling or feel or longevity. Ive also been doing a lot of research on which sway bars to get, on which set ups will give you a little under steer or a little oversteer and thats why I think im going with a pretty even set up.
I have done research on everything Im getting and have the money for it, so far what I dislike is that i have a little bit of understeer and the brakes need to be changed soon, besides that I cant find anything I dont like tho. My car is also lowered to where you can hardly fit a finger between the wheel and fender because thats how I bought it and I dont like how low it is. but thats easy to change
