Hey everyone! I'm looking at an ef that I want to buy, however it smacked a curb and where the rear lca attached to the frame it bent and tore, I know a good welder, but has anyone had this problem? And how could I fix it? Unfortunately do not have pictures. I circle what sheared off in this photo, is it possible to make a bracket and weld it back on?
The front lower control arm mount point is not directly mounted to the frame. The LCA mount point is a part of the cross member so you just need to get a new crossmember. Look around at junk yards or online. However, be sure you get a manual steering rack version as the powered rack cross member found on some civics is different than the manual one.
