Serpentine Belt Replacement
I am amazed at how well the serpentine belts hold up these days. I took off my serpentine belt to inspect it and it looks like it is in almost original condition at 120k miles! I don't think Honda recommends any particular replacement schedule, either by miles or time. Do most people here just wait for it to show signs of wear before replacing it or do people replace it at regular intervals (every 100k? 200k?). Has anyone had a serpentine belt actually fail on them any time recently?
It is pretty tight getting at the serpentine belt on this generation Accord. I found that the GearWrench serpentine belt made the job a lot easier. I also made a video of the process of removing and installing the serpentine belt, in case it is useful to anyone:
