I am pretty sure that my car has this kind of problem, so I have started wondering if it's reasonable to fix it (bought for 400€ last week).
What's the expected cost (here in Malta), in your opinion (best guess)?

My worry is that even if the forecasted price is not that high, something unexpected could arise, while doing the job, that would increase the cost a lot... what's your best guess on that? Do other problems usually arise on such old cars when you open the motor?
