Default 1999 Odyssey cranks but won’t start…after washing engine bay

Oh boy. I’m not sure what happened…but I did the bad thing of washing my engine bay on my 99 Odyssey and now it won’t start the next day.

Thing is, it started just fine after the car wash and I let it run for 30 min after to try and dry it all out.

I know I’ll be scolded for this…but I just gave it a light spray. I didn’t blast it point blank or aim for any electrical parts. Just a light dusting of water at the car wash.

That said, next day I tried starting it and it just turns over but won’t fire.

I left it for about 30 minutes, came back and I was able to get it to start.

A few hours later I came back out and it wouldn’t start again. Just turns over but won’t catch. Doesn’t even sputter…just turns over.

Any tips or tricks of what I could check?

Full disclosure, it’s been sitting for about 6 months and it could be something completely different…but the few times I tried starting it before the car wash it would fire right up no prob.

looking forward to any advice!

thanks :-)
