Default Something came apart inside rear brake drum?

Hey guys,

Just recently inherited a 98 Civic 4 Door 1.6Y7. I have been redoing some suspension to start off. I had some spare tie Bars & strut bars & coilovers that I put on.

Yesterday, the Rear Driver Drum I noticed the E brake does not grab at all but the passenger side does.

I put the tires back on & attempted to take the car out for a test but I didn't even get 100 feet from my house & I hear this crazy noise like something just came loose or apart. Sounded like the rear driver Drum. I also heard some grinding noise as I slowly went back to my driveway.

I am 100% all suspension boots are tight. Did something come apart in the drum? I never had to mess with the drum type brakes before on any Civic I owned & I currently own 4 lol.

What do you guys think??

Follow up info:

Previous owner did replace the brake line that goes to the rear driver Drum since line rusted out. I also found a lot of things ghetto repaired (driver window, hood latch, Head unit wiring).

There is no current leak that I have visually seen but I have not pulled off the drum.
