Fan and AC problems
Hi everyone! I've got 2 4gen Accords, a '94 2.0 and a '92 2.2 Aerodeck. The later had no air conditioning from the factory, so I bought an OEM AC unit from a salvaged car and had it built in by a professional. Normally it functions well until the engine is at the lower operating temperatures, but as it gets hotter and the cooling fan starts to work, the AC 'goes crazy': kicks in when the fan kicks in and it shuts down when the fan is off. This is intolerable and the so called experts that I visited with this problem have no clue how to solve it.
Does anyone have a useful solution or idea? Is it because the AC is from a 2.0 and the 2.2's wiring is different somehow? I would apreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Did they splice in another plug for the compressor? If they did, you can check to see if they spliced the wires into the wrong spot. If they spliced it into something connected to the cooling fan system, then it could be getting triggered whenever the cooling fan relay kicks in. Considering that I'm 95% certain the radiator fans come on when the AC is on to cool the condenser, I wouldn't be surprised if a shop that specializes in AC but not in these cars didn't think about the fans coming on and off intermittently for about 15 minutes after shutdown or while driving. I would check this first and see if you can trace the wires to some kind of cooling fan relay that could explain this behavior.
Thank you for the suggestion! I will get someone with a bit of electrical knowledge check it.
What would be the correct way to install the AC? Where should it be connected?
