What coolant should I use
I'm just putting together a list of fluids to change and can't find much info on recommended coolant. Does it matter enough that I should be looking for genuine Honda coolant or stick with the OEM or Prestone brands that I'd find in my local big box store?
I'm pretty sure the usual stuff from an auto parts store is good enough. If any doubt, you can always ask one of the workers, their computer system will have the correct info on what coolant your motor takes. More than likely, whatever is on the shelf, that says "Import/ Honda",
Personally, I'm using distilled water + Water Wetter, but I live where it doesn't get below freezing. But, my car has a hard time warming up to operating temperature now, i.e. my cooling system is hyper-efficient now haha.
Just use whatever you find, don't sweat it too much. There aren't very many fluids you need to change anyway;
Brake fluid
Engine oil
Transmission fluid
Clutch fluid, if manual transmission
Coolant
