2007 civic speakers
Need to replace rear speaker I seen them on line and they look identical but I went to a car stereo shop and the guy says I'll have to cut out the speaker from the bezel and cobb the new one into it . The speaker has one screw and the ring has two tabs that go into the cars cut out . The guy at the store said he makes a template and cuts out the metal on the car . Well I'm not doing either I want a speaker that'll go right in . Can I just go on line and order them for that year and model and install them without having to make sure that what they send me will fit ? Can any one suggest a web site that can sell me what I need ? The fronts don't work either and I'm told the front and back are the same and that the fronts are prone to water damage and the coil will corrode . Any input is welcome ,Thanks .
O.K. Thanks , I don't think I'll find an exact match , there's going to be some finagling involved . I'm going with the rock auto ones , I don't need top of the line my head banging days are over , just need something to listen to .
The speakers came with a bracket adapter set and a wiring harness that matched right up ,, had to use some screws I had lying around to mount the speakers on to the bracket . Sure beats having to tear things up to make it fit .
