i recently bought a 99' civic lx and i'm trying to pass inspection. but i ran into the a problem where my 02 sensor is missing and because of that i cant pass inspection. idk if its worth mentioning that the car is straight piped and come to find out the wiring harness is also changed. i bought the OEM engine wiring harness for D16y7, thinking that i would be able to fix the problem but the harness ended up running short. i've tired looking for where the 02 sensor is supposed to be but its not there which now assume that the pervious owner may have cut it or something... i was hoping someone here can help me out or give me an opinions on what i can do about this issue.

 

The primary sensor goes into the top of the catalyst/manifold, between runners two & three. The secondary sensor goes just post-cat in the bottom of the assembly. You say it's been straight-piped, does it have a header or non-cat manifold installed? How are you going to be able to pass inspection without a catalyst?
