Icon2 Demon V2 B20 V Base Map

Hi All,

I just finished my build and I was wondering if someone could help me customize/finetune a base map?
This is for an NA Build, Not Forced Induction.
It is a P28 ECU with Moates Demon V2 with Bluetooth.

Engine Specs:
B16A2 VTEC Head (Skunk2 Stage 1 Tuner Camshafts, SuperTech Valve Springs, SuperTech Valves, Blox LMA)
  • Stock 240cc Injectors (from 1993 Del Sol S D15)
  • Skunk2 Alpha Series 70mm Throttle Body.
  • Skunk2 Pro Series B16A Intake Manifold.
B20 Block (Stock Pistons 84mm, Lightweight Flywheel)
B16 Hydraulic Transmission (Stage 3 Clutch)

Thanks,
RisingSol

Hey Chance EG,

Thanks for the response.
I was looking at Phearable's website, but will check out Evans Tuning.

Thanks

What software are you tuning with? I'll post up a basemap for you, it's too easy. It would be a waste of money to pay someone for that...

You could just start with any B16 or GSR maps, and tune it from there.

If you have a wideband it's pretty easy to dial the AFRs.

Timing isn't even that difficult as long as you start with low load and take it slow. It's easy to tell when the motor isn't happy.

Ps you will want some larger injectors IMO. You will be maxing them out with the amount of air that motor will move. You don't need much bigger, 440-550cc (common sizes) would be good.

You have the NepTune software and Demon board. Your build is nothing exotic, so the built-in basemap wizard should work plenty fine for your application. Try it, then ask questions if you get stuck.

Assuming you have a wideband/lambda sensor on board?

It's pretty hard to blow up a low compression NA build, you'd almost have to be trying. Just go for it and do some learning.

Hey,

Thanks for all that information.
I believe the guy put a B20 VTEC basemap on it. He also gave me one for a GSR, but that did not work very well.

Will those injectors help get the motor to accelerate quicker?

Thanks,
RisingSol

YB has a good point. The stock injectors are about maxed out on a stock GS-R, you’ve got another 10% displacement. You can either go to a larger injector or increase pressure with an adjustable regulator, but you’ll likely run out of fuel as you are.
