Anyone ever noticed integras which came with a b20?

I recently pulled a swap from a 2000 integra thinking I got a b18 with auto trans. I wash the engine and see it’s a b20b. I’m like wow that swap was quality, I could not tell at all it was a swap while pulling the engine. Everything seemed original.

it had the b18b style intake manifold, b18 bracketry, b18 exhaust manifold. I’m like hmm someone swapped in a jdm b20b and did a tight job.

then a few weeks later I’m at another junk yard and I see the exact same setup. Another 2000 integra automatic with a jDM B20B. Exact same setup with auto trans, the b18 intake and p72 parts.

im thinking this is no fluke. Honda must have run out of b18s At the end of the integra production run and fitted some automatic integra with B20 motors.

 

It’s not hard to swap a b20 into an Integra and make it look factory, because it’s a direct swap.

They did not run out of them at the factory.

 

At least like 15 percent of all auto integras have that swap .. probley like 90 percent of all manuel integras have that swap, more common then the b18 lol

Im just makeing these numbers up, but its verry common

 

No integra or civic ever came with a 2.0L (B20) engine!

The CRV did.

 

Probably due to all the kids blowing up their original motors...
