Icon5 F20b Torneo manual swap, countershaft speed sensor to VSS conversion

Hi all,

I've swapped a manual transmission into my f20b torneo sir, but am stumped as to what to do regarding the speedo unit. The auto that I have removed uses a Countershaft Speed Sensor and I'm not sure how to go about getting the VSS to work with this car.

I have a auto electrician friend willing to help me, but any information we can use as a kicking off point will be massively appreciated. I see there is a lot of information regarding the k series, but haven't been able to find anything regarding f/h series

I am still running the auto loom (engine and dash), ecu, gauge cluster... basically everything electrical is still the auto stuff.

discussion questions:
is there a how-to somewhere?
Is it as simple as wiring the existing loom up to the new sensor?
does anyone have a wiring diagram for the auto loom they can link me?
how can I determine what the pinout is for the VSS I have? I got it from a mate and the part number is partially worn off.
I assume the road speed to pulse rate will be different now, anyone know by how much? will I need to swap to a manual gauge cluster or ecu to get accurate measurements?
can I use something like this to correct any discrepancies? https://www.jaycar.co.nz/speedo-corr...RoCtEEQAvD_BwE
