5th gen lude p1259

Hi I just got my first prelude 5th gen. I got a p1259 code and it also has a weird whistle sound what could it be.

Hello,

That code stands for "VTEC System Malfunction (Bank 1)". First, check the engine oil level and condition. If everything looks good there, take a look at the VTEC switch and solenoid.
