I'm looking through the threads and seeing lots of starter issues but perhaps not the one I am having. 2015 Accord V6, push button start, began to have an issue with the starter spinning freely the first try, sometimes second and even third. However, it has always started eventually. Sometimes it comes close to engaging the flywheel. Considering the battery is new, I accomplished TSB 16-002 which has you replace the starter and clock the flywheel one bolt hole due to a clearance issue. New starter is a rebuilt from NAPA. After the repair this starter does exactly, precisely the same thing as the original starter. I've wondered about the starter cut relays but those on a circuit board in the engine fuse box and not readily available or easy to find the part itself. Yes, I should check the voltage going to the starter when this happens. easier said than done but that is a next step. Anyone experienced this issue and have advice?
