Default Long Term Transmission storage

I will be storing my '00 type r trans for a few years in my garage. Should i drain fluid and fill it again to store or store it empty ?

Not to threadjack, but I've had a freshly rebuilt trans sitting in my garage much longer than intended, about 5-6 years... No fluid in it.

No idea as to the condition of it now, I'd hope it's still ok.

I’d wrap it in a bag. Maybe a few bags to keep moisture out. Better yet wrap it in a bag and put it in a plastic bin to keep moisture out. Don’t want things rusting.

Just wrap it in a garbage bag. Nothing will rust
