Default I hope this is the right thread

Hey guys I’m really in a pickle .. dilemma etc atm

please note ** This is my first civic so go easy on me **

I am looking at 2 cars

Car #1 95’ Honda Civic EG 4Dr VTI manual for a good asking price only issue it has was that it needs its head gaskets replaced it’s a 1 owner vehicle and I have not seen it yet but on weekend I am I can not seem to find aftermarket parts for it well my main thing is

front & rear bar & side skirts
duckbill spoiler
all engine/fuel/cams/ and exhaust etc
coilovers
Benen subframe brace I can only find for hatch not
etc I can only seem to find aftermarket mods and they mention 94-95 or 88-0? Eg Hatch / ek etc

car #2 is a 96’ Ek sedan with front windscreen smashed and It’s automatic

Needs the following replaced
windscreen
front bar
bonnet
radiator support is slightly bent
needs headlights

I’ll want to do a manual conversion and a b16 or a d16 swap as it is a GLI and there are a lot of parts for this online and plenty of wreckers that are wrecking EK’s

unless you guys can help me or comment below websites that accommodates for eg 4Dr parts that ships to australia or companies that are in australia? I know hatch would’ve been better but Idk what to get but from my research it looks like I’ll be an idiot not to grab the eg And work around with what I got …

so what I’m trying to say is can any of you guys help me??? I really want the EG as it’s going to save me from manual conversions
windscreens etc

what will be a better platform to start on? All comments appreciated and please guys no hate I am new to the civic scenes I’ve owned s15’s AMGS’s all kinds of Wrx etc but not a civic atm I’ve got my bugeye but vtec sounds sooooo good

Manual conversions are not worth the cost and hassle of performing, find a car that already has 3 pedals and is set up for manual to begin with.

It is rapidly becoming harder and more expensive to find parts for these cars, and for B series engines. Everything from body components, electrical & interior pieces, OEM parts, etc... Everything is thinning out pretty badly right now.

The best time to build one of these cars was several years ago.

so you think it’s better to go for the 1995 Honda Civic EG VTI manual I’m picking it up for $1200 it’s a 1.6l so I do not know what motor is that but I done a reserve and it said that the 1.6L VTI has a D16z6? Is this correct??? I think I should just get the EG! Can you confirm if that motor is correct ? And if so where can I buy aftermarket parts for my eg 4Dr VTI 1.6L? As a simple exhaust is not easy to find for a sedan only hatch…

the Eg sedan is already manual and is a VTI (1.6L vtec ) So i think I should just get it
