2008 Civic - ideal alternator output voltage?

What's the ideal output for an alternator in the Civic - seems like 15v is high. What would cause this? Voltage at the battery is 12.5v with the car off and 15v with the car charging and running.

Seems high. 14.4v is about average for a Honda when charging.
