Default Battery light still after the switch its off

Hi, I recently bought a 1991 Honda Civic DX, I have to disconnect the battery after turning off the car because when I turn it off the battery light stays on, I thought it was the switch that was left open but after disconnecting the switch the light was still on, I disconnected the fuse of that light but the light was still on but now it was blinking. Any help ?

The battery symbol indicator is actually the charging system warning light. Check connections; otherwise, may be an issue with a faulty alternator.

Faulty alternator, waiting for a new one to make sure that was the alternator
