Hey everyone, been wanting an SI and found an opportunity to purchase a 2012 SI from an estate sale. Ignition cylinder is busted out and they dont have the key. They have the title and the VIN is clean. Is there a way to hot wire it to get it off the property?

Nope, not with the immobilizer system. It will need to be repaired onsite or towed away for repairs.

 

thanks, so to repair it I replace the ignition cylinder and have the key reprogrammed at a dealer?

 

Or a locksmith or an anyone with a proper scan tool. They can be had for under $200.
