1992 Honda Accord EX code 43 and intermittent stalling on start
I bought a 1992 Honda Accord a few weeks ago
It ran great at first but now sometimes when I try to start it it will start and die within seconds and won't start for around 30 minutes.
The only code it has is code 43 when I'm highway driving.
it always starts in the mornings and usually if its been driving. But if it sits in the sun and after school it will die and ill have to wait for it to start. If I try to start it after it dies it blows a little smoke out of the exhaust for the first second or two and doesn't start.
I have replaced fuel filter, got a new battery, cleaned the cap and rotor, cleaned spark plugs.
The cylinder 2 and 3 plugs were wet and black with oil and gas and the hole had oil in it from the valve cover I assume.
I cleaned all the plugs and periodically have checked them and they look like cylinders 1 and 4 now which is better I am getting new plugs and wires tomorrow.
I have put injector cleaner in my tank thinking maybe the injectors were sticky and it was flooding it and the gas had to evaporate before starting again but it doesn't seem to have fixed anything.
But I can't figure out why it dies and won't start. The exhaust does smell like its running very rich but not all the time. And after warming up the idle will sometimes get a little choppy for a couple of seconds but doesn't smell any different.
I just want it to start everytime.
