Default Need new transmission

So my transmission is starting to go. I am disappointed because I bought this car hoping it would be worth but it had more problems than we initially thought... I am either gonna sell it or get a new transmission depending on what I can find.

Does anyone know of a reputable site that sells transmissions for these cars? Either stock or other brands that will plug and play? It's the 4 door sedan LX v6. To be honest, when I was looking I was asked if it was and A0 something transmission or an Mzda or something of the sort. I can't remember exactly and I don't know which it is mine has. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. My Transmission guy wants 4.5 grand and I am saying hell nah lol.

Go to the junkyard and find the same car as yours and make sure it has impact damage from the side or rear. Otherwise sell the car.

I did find some Transmissions from the junkyards here for 300 bucks, do you think it's worth the gamble? Once the Trans is working good again that's about all it needs in repairs besides the ABS.

Look at your transmission and read the labels on it. Make sure the 4 letter code matches. I wouldn't buy one that didn't come from a crashed car and generally I've stayed away from the automatic v6 models because of the transmission.

Ah so they are known to have problems? Do you know if there is a sister brand or type I can get? Like on my Camaro a few different transmissions work.

DONT waste your time getting a used transmission from a junkyard. Absolutely a waste of time. Either have it rebuilt or sell it.

I'll probably just sell it. Have a guy interested in it. The rebuild is too much honestly, I've rebuilt my Camaro's Transmission and thankfully it's like half the price of what Honda transmissions cost. We even upgraded the maros Transmission.

Hey, if you're gonna be snarky you can click the X and leave sir. I've done NOTHING but Google for days and Google is being absolutely no help, keeps showing me the same crap I've already seen and isn't the answer to my question. I will simply talk to my transmission guy on Monday when he calls. There were a few options for my Camaro so it's always worth asking if there are other options that will fit.

I have had great success with HATransmissions... send your local repair shop this link and see if the price makes sense for you.
