Shift knob stuck on?

Default Shift **** stuck on?
Removing the shift **** in my 2010 Si. Theres no locking nut, and it wont twist off. Let me know what you think. As you can see I’ve tried my best lol.

I wonder if the aluminum base has a set screw holding it to the shifter and the top ball threads on to the base.
