Default Speaker issue

97 accord coupe. new to me.

Stock head unit with cd player. Two amps bolted to back seat looks like it use to have a sub in trunk.

The right front door speaker is cutting in and out...sometimes it will be crystal clear for a minute..cut out get quite or get static.

Where should I start checking. All aftermarkets speakers. I also ordered a simple single din radio from crutchfield with there wirring harness.

I know nothing about radios or wirring them but want to learn lol.

So re connectwd the door speaker so far so good
.

I instAlled my aftermarket single din radio from crutchfield. Th factory harness was cut into but using there readyharness everything still worked.

Only 2 issues.

When i Adjust volume when only playimg thw rear speaker it actually plays the front and vice versa. Would this be the radio or more than lkkely hoe thry wired it.

Also i just plugged and play per instuctios ..should i have grounded the radio? Is not to grounded via factory harness.

Sounds like you may have mixed up the wiring front to back.

Well the speaker is still cutting out after about 15 minutes of driving...tries to cut back in.

There is "fluid" leaking from the back of the speaker...like oil...I'm assume it is toast.

So. I bougth a new set of Kicker DS speakers. Plugged on into the door and still the same thing...barely any sound and cracking and popping...wirring looks good at the door. What wiring would I check next?

The amps that are powering the door speakers could that be the issue or is more thank likey behind the radio

did you properly covered the wire connections.? Please don't say "strip, twist together and cover with electrical tape".

Its like this for now, havent' had time to properly take the panel back off and reconnect the wirring properly.

I found the issue. I had the back seat folded down and the door speaker was playing just fine...(the amps are mounted on the back of the backseat) anyway when I folded the seat up I noticed the speaker cut out folded the seat down the speaker worked...there was a pinch and about broken wire behind the amp. I guess once it warmed up it would break connection and cut out. Ran a new wire and re routed them and all is good.

glad you figured it out. A friend of mine had similar issue with his Acura CL. Every now and then, there is an audible loud sound, especially when the weather is cold. I helped him with soldering all the connections and problem went away.
