I have a friend of mine has a 2007 4 door Civic whose AC isn't working. And dang...it's hot out lol.
I'm trying to help out and here's my diagnosis...
-Pressing the A/C button, the A/C fan turns on. So that's good.
-It looks like the A/C compressor and clutch are on the same single belt serpentine as the alternator and such and it looks like there is a clutch on the side of the A/C compressor.
When the A/C button is pressed, from what i can tell, the compressor is NOT kicking in. I'm hoping that there might be a fuse for the A/C compressor clutch??? I went to the fuse panel and can't seem to find a fuse for this. (photo of fuse panel below)
Or are these A/C clutches purely mechanical, meaning she needs to get a new compressor?
Thank you in advance for the advice! :-)

Compressor clutch could be broken. It would be best to try and apply direct 12v+ to the compressor manually and see if the compressor clutch engages, if it does then you need to check the Freon levels of the car (either a shop or buy a set of ac manifold gauges and check them) if they are sufficient then your low pressure switch could be faulty. If they are not sufficient, then you need to charge the system and check for leaks with dye.
