2003 Honda accord LX 2.4L 4 door sedan with 215K miles.
My accord has a p2646 engine code. The engine bucks above 2500 RPMs. I replaced the Variable Valve Time VTEC unit and screen, then had an oil change with engine flush. The bucking continued so I replaced the VTC filter next to the serpentine belt tensioner. The problem persisted, so I removed the VTEC solenoid once again and confirmed that the screen is still clean.
For my next step I plan to replace the connector pigtails going to the two terminals on top of the VTEC solenoid unit. I am having a difficult time naming/finding the correct pigtails to purchase. I am attaching two images. One image is what the conectors look like on my vehicle, the other image is what I find online (Amazon, in this case). The oil pressure switch connector seems right, the other connector does not seem right, as it has one wire. Mine has two. Any help finding the parts online or determining other next steps is appreciated. By the way, When I measure the resistance between the two terminals on one wire conector, I get 50K Ohms, while on the other connector the resistance is 2Million Ohms. Not sure what to conclued from this.
