P2101 TAC motor issue - throttle not responding - 2007 Accord
I went to accelerate from a stop light last night and suddenly my throttle was nearly completely unresponsive to my input. For a moment I thought I was in the wrong gear or had simply bogged it pulling off but even when pushing the clutch in and nearly nearly flooring it the throttle did not seem to respond at all. At most it would go up to 3000RPM and drop back down to idle, almost seeming to modulate as I was trying to engage the clutch. After a moment the car threw up a CEL and seeing as something was clearly wrong I pulled over and turned off the car. After sitting there for a moment banging by head against the wheel at the prospect of my car breaking down in 1am in the middle of the hood, I started the car back up and everything seems relatively back to normal. I pulled out my obd2 scanner and saw the CEL was P2101 which sounds pretty accurate given the throttle seemed completely haywire.
Anybody know how to diagnose the exact failure point and what exactly I should do? I've tried searching around a bit but I'm having trouble finding any specifics, especially with finding relevant part numbers since only the 2006-2007 accord seems to have this style throttle actuator for this generation. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
