Default EC9 d16a9 swap

Hey guys,im new to the honda world.
i have a Ec9 civic hatchback gl
and i Want to swap it with a d16a9
i want to know what a i Need besides the engine,and can i run the gearbox that comes with the d16a9,can i run an external fuel pump instead of changing the tank,what wiring i need to use,etc

So you're in Europe? Assuming the EC9 is as similar to the USDM ED6 as it looks...

What engine do you have? If the carbed D14A1 you'll probably need a lot of wiring. Over here fuel injection wiring went through almost every harness in the chassis. If you can find factory wiring diagrams it would help a lot.

Almost all D series transmissions swap, I don't think your (assumed) market had any of the weird incompatible cases. If the D16A9 you're looking at has an L3 (transmission) case then it will probably drop right in with the right mounts. Wikipedia says the newer ones were paired to an S20, which has a hydraulic clutch and will require a lot more refitting. You'll probably have to be careful with axles too, guessing you have smaller wheel hubs that won't take the A9 axles. Clutch here was different from 88-89 and 90-91, probably there too, just make sure whatever internal parts you get are for the right transmission/engine and you should be ok.

No idea about an external fuel pump, there's probably a forum thread about it somewhere.
