I checked fuses under driver foot,
I checked fuses to the right of passenger foot.
I checked fuses on the left of cargo area.
No bad fuses found.
Dealer charged me $600 for a new handle and the problem is still there, they wanted $500 more for latch which I instead did myself and the problem is still there.
Now the dealer wants me to pay them $500 to check wiring between the slider and the rear hatch.
It may be an issue with the power tailgate control unit or wiring.
Signals from the either the driver's dash tailgate switch or the outer handle switch are directed through the power tailgate control unit before they go to the tailgate closer unit.
With the tailgate opened, disconnect the black 2 pin Connector A from the tailgate closer unit, then check if there is momentary power on the red wire on that harness connector when you try to operate the tailgate with a switch or remote.
