EP3 Starting Issue
Need some advise please
Discovered a problem with my ep3 2002
Went out the other day to work and it drove completely fine. Went to start it back up after work and nothing happened. There was no click and it wouldn’t start.
Thought it was the starter motor as it’s been on and off in the past. I changed that this evening and it still isn’t working.
Checked power to the starter motor and the power was there but it doesn’t crank. Any ideas??
I have had to put a wire on the starter signal switch and touch it to the battery for my starter motor to work so the car starts.
Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you.

so if I don’t have the cruise control mine should be the bottom sensor switch? So I don’t have to take the full clutch pedal assembly off?
The clutch starter interrupt switch is the TOP one... the lower one, which is much easier to get to, is the cruise control release switch... unfortunately. There are ways to install the stopper in the pedal without removing the pedal assembly, but it is difficult and tricky. Some find it easier to remove the pedal.
