Default well, i had a pretty bad friday night........

well, friday sucked, after 5 hours of labor and mods, and more mods, and a little more modification to the bumper, i finally was able to put on my front mount intake with no hastle , it took a while, i had to figure out how to take my bumper off, which seems real easy now, but i wasn't informed of the method, well i got it on and i was taking my friend's girlfriend to her house, we dropped her off and my friend and i were street testing the new lude, well, let me tell ya, it hauled *****, i definately felt more power in the high end, but that's not the point, later that night i was cut off, and i wrecked the lude, i'm pissed, the bumper flew off, the brace behind the bumper is twisted and bent, the radiator was pushed all the way into my header where it proceeded to melt, my lights are f'd up, and the car won't start, but the battery is connected, which is weird to me, there is no power what so ever, the subframe looks broken, and there is basically an over all complete damage to the front end, i'm not quite sure if the header is salvageable, and the engine looks as if it's pushed back a little bit more towards the intake manifold, i'll try to post some pics, later, but i just wanted to tell ya'll that it sucks, and i'im pissed but if it's not totaled the lude will walk again, and if it is, i'm still buying the bitch back, i can't live without a lude, i love them too much, well thanks for reading and sorry for the big post. ------the pictures are up now, take a look at her-

ouch thats terrible, well i have had a similar experience...there was a big storm and a tree hit the back of my car and long story short it got a halfassed paintjob done to it and 2 weeks later the oil pump dies and the motor is basically usless...hence my name. but im doing a swap over winter break so ill be happy with my h22a1. good luck with your car though.

The car won't start because you popped the main battery fuse when the alternator grounded out to the frame while the car was running.....check that little rubber boot on the alternator, I'd bet it's torn.....
My prelude got wrecked almost identically to yours, it's not totalled, and in fact the damage isn't that bad Heck, your headlights aren't even broken! (at least not that I can see)...
Expect the cost for repairing the damage to be around $1200 or so if you take everything out yourself (headlights, radiator, AC condensor) including paint....they'll need to weld a new front crossmember in and paint it, align the headlights and hood/latch......
I'd wager your fenders are fine (mine were) so really you just need a radiator, ac condensor, hood, and fix the crossmember......

Man, I was pissed that my laptop got stolen on Friday night, but after seeing your pictures I don't feel so bad. I'd be so mad if something like this happened to my lude, I hope you can get it fixed.

umm, you need to look harder, cuz the damage is pretty bad, ac, bumper, bumper reinforcement, flight bend in the drivers side fender, the hood, the header, the radiator, the ac fan, the cooling fan, sub frames, all that **** is fucked up, from what the guy told me today it's totaled but the other guy's insurance company is sending an agent to look at it and make an assessment, but i'm really thinkin bout buying it back and fixin her, John: well it's not quite 7k, but my girlfriend posted it on there as a joke to make me feel better, i didn't know you were on this forum either, if i need any help with anything i'll let ya know

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that dawg. No consolation I guess, but at least you're ok and you walked away from it, so that's cool. Hope you can get it back on the road, one way or another. 4th gen/5th gen, we beef and all, but hey when it comes down to it, a Lude's a Lude. Good luck dude. Luv, peace and hair grease...

well the other insurance company hasn't gotten back to me yet, but i've decided what i'll do with the car if everything goes right, it'll get a cf hood, cf fenders, and some speedline wheels, i know what they look like but don't know the model, and a front clip from a body kit, from there i'll re-attach the intake, and drop some money into my motor, as the car will become my all out drag car

What wheels do you have now? If they are the seven spoke Si type I am VERY interested in buying them. Let me know what happens
