Hey honda people

I have an lx honda civic from 02 and i messed up the motor but i dont care cuz i know its garbage anyway.

im taking getting stranded as a sign to do some fun stuff with the em2or 1 whatever it is.

I had seen a video of a dude doing a k24 swap on his and id like to do the same but i have a question or 2. If possible am i able to use the transmission from the d17 to mate to the k24?
Just curious if it could cuz i know the teanny is fine still as i was still able to shift down and up as it was dying. Otherwise i will part it out as much as i can and do the work as needed.
i know this is a ton of work but i have a few bit of know how and some friends who can help. So any and all knowledge and info to help me get this show on the road would be much appreciated.
