Hi guys it's a 2011 3.5 v6 Accord and I've just noticed a steering pump Whine when going from lock to lock but it only happens when cold, once warm it disappears. The fluid is full, I have to own up to topping it up with generic Repco fluid and I've since learnt Honda's only like Honda oem fluid. Do we suspect a pump on its way out or it doesn't like the fluid. Love the car so happy to do what's needed.
Any advice really grateful.

 

O ring on the plastic inlet pipe. Pretty common for those to leak air into the pump making it whine. You can verify by checking to see if the fluid in the reservoir is foamy when it is whining.
