Radio shuts off and reboots at high volumes
1993 Civic. When I turn the volume up high my head unit (Pioneer MVH 291BT) will briefly shut off and then reboot. It works fine at low volumes.
SOLVED: fixed with new engine bay ground wires.

You have two options:
1. Leave it be and just listen at a lower volume. You are overworking the dinky internal amp inside the headunit. The impedance output is likely more than what the headunit amp can push out.
2. Power your speakers with an external aftermarket amp.

My front and rear speakers came with the head unit as a package so they should work without adding an amplifier. The fact that the stock radio is also unable to operate at max volume tells me the problem somewhere in my car or wiring.
