It is a bone stock 1997 Honda Civic Hx. 57k miles. Drives great, but could use some new tires I wouldn't want to drive a long distance on them. The interior is in excellent condition. Everything works. A/C blows cold, P/S works fine, both power windows work(passenger is a little slow).
This car could be a great DD considering the gas prices. I had another 1997 5 spd Hx 20 years ago and it pulled nearly 40mpg if I remember right.
The body is totally rust free. There is a little bit of surface rust in some areas of the underbody and subframe. Honestly probably one of the most rust free stock EK coupes you can find in the midwest.
The car is an auto. I bought most of the parts for a manual conversion(planning on doing a k swap).
I also have a full four wheel brake conversion from an EM1 that could come with the car for some extra money.
Now for the bad.
Previous owner told me there was some scratches on the car so he had parts of the car resprayed. I don't know if it was a key vandalism or what. Either way it looks that both front fenders, rear fenders, and both bumpers had a Macco quailty level respray. They didn't do a great job and also didn't do a great job taping things off. The painter didn't even bother removing those rubber guards on the inside edge of the rear fenders. Looks good from 10 feet.
No rust on the lower doors either.
Timing belt replaced 2019 at 55k miles Perfectly clean in here. No rust to the rear quarters at all. You can see the overspray on the rubber guards.
