P1009 on 2009 Honda Accord LX
Hello Everyone! I bought a 2009 Honda Accord with the expectation of replacing the engine, I am getting the code P1009 and P0341. Engine will not start unless I floor the gas pedal, and when it is running with the pedal floored it stays at 800 rpm and stalls usually when I take my foot off the pedal but sometimes before that as well. The previous owners took it to a mechanic and they did discover ticking and low engine oil, they added 3 quarts of oil and the ticking actually went away according to the report. They say it is most likely a stretched timing chain. I would love more information on how to approach a diagnosis on this vehicle, I still need to do a pressure test on it and will update once I do, but if the pressure test passes, what should I start looking into?
