Alright my next question is in regards to the cluster part of the dash. I have working emergency flash, speedometer and tachometer and everything else in the gauge section works but just cruise control, along with aux and I forgot which one it is but the one next to the emergency flash doesn’t work. What should my sequence of operations be when trouble shooting for things like this? Should I start by checking fuses?
also , if anyone has suggestions to what should be done to the engine as far as machine work. I have 161k on it so I believe the cylinder walls could be warped at this time. Maybe new sleeves or a slight bore and a resurface but that’s as far as I know. Let me know what you guys think. So far the car has an oil change done and a tune up kit arrives tomorrow so another oil change will be done this weekend.

 

161K is not that high, the engine might be in much better shape than you think.
